A patient is referred to you 4 weeks after sustaining a fracture of the distal radius with immobilization in a cast following a fall on an outstretched arm and hand. She has limited elbow, forearm, and wrist motions. On palpation, you note a decreased space between the lateral aspect of the head of the radius and capitulum as well as decreased joint play at all articulations of the elbow, forearm, and wrist.<\/p>\n
