Objective<br \/>\nThe distillation column is probably the most significant separation processing unit in the chemical industry. Perhaps, 90% of commodity chemicals are separated by this unit, and it consumes significant energy caused by extensive use of heating. In this experiment, we will try to separate a mixture of two miscible liquids (liquids that mix in all proportions) with different boiling points using a bench-scale distillation column apparatus.
