There are some examples in Korean traditional style.
First, Arirang. It was made in the early 20th century, but inspired by traditional song. Over time, the melodic ornamentation characteristic of central Korean style was replaced with a Western style vocalization with undifferentiated vibrato.
In this way, a process of canonization and standardization, quite at odds with the original performance practice, and with Korean traditional music more broadly, took hold.
