1. Research Design
(1) Puzzle
Development of information technology is unbelievably fast. A smart phone is a must-have in contemporary society although it was very rare three years ago. People expect information technology to improve their quality of life. However, some of them are overwhelmed with its rapid development and others are concerned with its negative effects such as more exposure to IT crimes. Nevertheless, ultimate purpose of developing information technology is to improve the quality of human life. Does the development of information technology truly improve the quality of our lives? The goal of this research is to the answer.
(2) Hypothesis
Hypothesis: The higher the level of information technology the higher the quality of life.
The independent variable of this hypothesis is ‘the level of information technology,’ and the dependent variable is ‘the quality of life.’ The level of information technology may effect many variables. Above them, the quality of life is expected to describe the effect of the independent variable most distinctively. Therefore, this hypothesis may prove that “as the information technology is developed, the quality of life increases.”
