I was introduced to the song “未来へ (Miraie)” by Kiroro through a friend who is studying Japanese. I was deeply moved by its poignant melody. I heard that one of the Kiroro members wrote the lyrics because she was worried about her sick mother, which adds to the emotional depth of the song.
“青い珊瑚礁 (Aoi Sangoshou)” by Seiko Matsuda – This song was performed by Seiko Matsuda, a beloved national singer during Japan’s economic boom in the 1980s.
