Collapse of the Soviet Union complicated the territorial relations around the Black Sea Area and still, Russia is struggling to maintain its practical influence. Including the Baltic states, a lot of new-independent states separated from the collapsed Soviet Union arose, and Ukraine was one of them. NATO – Russia conflict has been continuing since 2014 when Russia started military invasion in Crimea Peninsula, which was the eastern territory of Ukraine.
NATO was established in 1949, in Washington, by some of the West European states and the two North American states, US and Canada. NATO’s establishment had its purpose on defending Liberty in the North Atlantic Area against the Soviet Union and other Communist states after the WW2.
