본문내용

– Objective
Having knowledge of the properties of various materials is important in industry. This impacts product design, manufacturing, performance and safety. Understanding factors like ultimate strength and elongation help in selecting the optimal materials and improving products. Additionally comprehending material characteristics aids in predicting behavior, optimizing manufacturing and processing processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Overall tensile testing plays a pivotal role in ensuring the performance, reliability and safety of materials and products across various industries. In this experiment, we will process with three experiments, (strain gauge test, Hydraulic tensile test (bar type), thin plate tensile test (plate type).

– Theoretical Background
1. Stress
Stress is a measure of the internal resistance of a material to an external force.
